FLUENCY IN ARABIC

This program offers undergraduate and graduate students, teachers and academics from any field the possibility of mastering Spoken and Modern Standard Arabic. Students will be able to cover all the levels of the language of choice from a total beginner's level to acquire reading, writing, and speaking proficiency, with the option to take additional theoretical and practical courses closely linked to the target language’s cultural milieu.

*Students with no prior knowledge of the target language must start with Level I. Students with prior knowledge must complete a written and oral placement test and receive a grade in order to validate a level. More information about the levels offered here.

**Electives can be chosen without extra fees. Elective registrations outside of this amount will be subject to the regular course fee as listed in the Administrative Office. Elective courses are subject to change.

This program entitles the student to receive a Certificate in Arabic Fluency from the Polis Institute.

European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS)=Credits

1 ECTS=10 Academic Hours (not including Field Trips and Intensive Courses)

 

APPLICATION

Entry Requirements: A high school diploma or equivalent  is required. Students are expected to be fluent in English.

To apply for the Fluency Program, fill out the application form and send it to ravenel@polisjerusalem.org along with the required documents and application fee as listed on the form.

TUITION

The tuition fees amount to 26,000 NIS per annum. Registration for accepted students is accompanied by a registration fee of 3,000 NIS, which is part of the total tuition fee.

The payment can be made: 

 

1) By bank transfer or credit card (the whole amount is to be transferred before the beginning of the academic year)

2) By cash (the whole amount before the beginning of the year)

3) By three equal checks (deposited before the beginning of the year and dated October, 1, December, 1 and February, 1).
