Tania Notarius, Associate Professor at the University of the Free State (UFS) and Advisor for the Near Eastern Languages Program at the Polis Institute, collaborates with an international team at the University of Copenhagen on the digitization and tagging of the Ugaritic corpus. The objective of this project is to develop an open-source resource and expand research activities surrounding this corpus (https://github.com/caccht). This project involves a Polis student volunteer. 

Her second consultative project, "Records in Aramaic Epigraphy," focuses on the research of Aramaic epigraphy from the Land of Israel in the Persian and Hellenistic periods. She participated in the five-volume Textbook of Aramaic Ostraca from Idumea by Bezalel Porten and Ada Yardeni, contributing to the publication of the fifth and last volume published in 2023. The Polis Institute has received from the late Prof. Bezalel Porten a significant portion of his archive, mainly those parts that were transmitted to him by the late Dr. Ada Yardeni and those that were taken out of his university office: many valuable photos, drawings, slides, manuscripts, and documents. Prof. Tania Notarius collaborates with Prof. Esti Eshel (Bar-Ilan University) on publishing the Aramaic ostraca from Maresha, as well as other projects related to Aramaic epigraphy and the legacy of Prof. Bezalel Porten and Dr. Ada Yardeni. This project also involves the contribution of a volunteer Polis student.
