RULES & REGULATIONS

1. Payment methods and schedule

a. The total fee includes the registration fee (400 NIS) and the tuition fee. The registration fee is required to reserve a seat in the class.

b. The total fee should be paid before the second class of the course. It can be paid in cash at the office, via PayPal, bank transfer (any transfer fees are the responsibility of the sender), or with a credit card (max. 3 equal instalments set in advance if the credit card company allows for so).

2. Use of Photographs and Email

a. Polis Institute reserves the right to use photographs or videos of the students for advertising purposes in Polis’ website, brochures, and other media.

b. Polis Institute reserves the right for staff and teachers to email students regarding course updates and events.

c. It is prohibited for students to record classes.

3. Refund and Cancellation policy

a. Polis reserves the right to cancel any announced course upon 5 days prior notice. In this case, students will receive a full refund of the fees within 30 working days.

b. The student can cancel their registration only up to the beginning of the second class of the course. In that case, only the tuition fee will be refunded (excluding the registration fees). Students who cancel their registration beyond that date will not be refunded. Students wishing to cancel their registration should send a written request to the Polis office.

c. Polis reserves the right to move frontal courses online via Zoom in case it is required by the MoH or any other government body. In the event of this change students will not be issued a refund.

Postponement of Fees

a. The student can request to postpone 25% of the total course fee during the first half of the semester only if the student cannot continue participating due to force majeure (i.e. illness, professional change, etc.). Fees can only be postponed for 2 semesters. Students wishing to cancel their registration should send a written request to the Polis office.

4. Code of Behaviour on Polis’ Premises

a. Respect the identity, culture, religious beliefs, and political opinions of all students, instructors, staff, and visitors.

b. Respect Polis’ material and intellectual property.

c. Please help keep Polis clean.

d. Smoking is not allowed inside Polis’ buildings.

e. Do not carry weapons in the Institute premises.

f. Do not take off your shoes or walk barefoot in Polis’ buildings.

g. Do not eat in class.

h. All students are expected to attend classes regularly, to adhere to their instructor’s guidelines, and to complete assignments as required. Only students who complete all exams and receive a passing grade will be able to receive a certificate.

i. If classes are cancelled due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, the first two missed classes will not be rescheduled.

5. Certificates:

a. Upon the completion of the course, students who attend not less than 70% of the classes and take and pass the final exam and scores a final grade of not less than 65/100 (the passing grade could be different for some courses) get certificates issued by Polis.

b. certificates are to be sent by email to students within a month after the official end date of the semester.
